Sorry, I completely forgot to post to this to the blog- Here is my intro
Throughout African history, the individuals of the continent have distinguished themselves through the creation of highly distinguishable and inspiring art. Humans have always sought to create; first they produced items of utility, and then created simply for the aesthetic value. The ivory hunting horn in the Walt Disney-Tishman African Art collection in the National Museum of African Art is a superb example of the mix of both utility and aesthetics.
